Is it free to list myself as a helper?
Yes. Adding your details is free, staying listed is free, and Jan Sahayata takes no commission on any work you get. Customers contact you directly by call or WhatsApp — no payment passes through the platform.
What do I need to submit?
Your name or business name, a mobile number, the trades you work in, your address, a clear photo of yourself, and a photo of an identity document (Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence or passport). For Aadhaar, both sides are required.
Why is an ID document required?
Every listing is reviewed by an admin before it goes live, and the ID is how that check is done. Your document is not shown on your public listing and is not visible to customers — only the verified badge is.
How long does approval take?
New submissions are usually reviewed within 24 to 48 hours. You will see the status on this page, and if something needs correcting you can edit and resubmit rather than starting again.
Can I list more than one trade?
Yes. If you do plumbing and AC repair, list both — you will then appear under each service instead of only the first one. Pick the trade you do most as the primary.
Can I change my details later?
Yes. Open your profile and use 'Edit my details'. Changes go to an admin and replace the live version once approved, so your listing is never left showing something half-updated.
