About Jan Sahayata
Jan Sahayata is a free local directory for Dindori, Madhya Pradesh. It lists people who do real work in and around Dindori — plumbers, electricians, carpenters, tailors, cooks, tutors, drivers and more — so anyone who needs that work done can find them and call them directly.
The problem it solves
In a district town, finding a tradesperson usually means asking neighbours until somebody remembers a name and a number. That works if you know the right people, and not at all if you have just moved, or need a trade nobody around you has recently used. On the other side, someone who does good work has no way to be found beyond the people who already know them. Jan Sahayata is a single public list that both sides can use.
How it works
- Anyone who works in Dindori can add their details free, through the join page.
- An admin reviews each submission, including an identity document, before the listing goes live. That check is what the verified badge refers to.
- Visitors browse by service or search, then call or message the helper themselves.
- Work and payment are arranged between the two people directly. Jan Sahayata does not take bookings, handle money, or charge commission.
What we do and do not claim
Verification here means one specific thing: an admin has seen an identity document and confirmed who the person is. It is not a rating of their skill, a background check, or a warranty on their work. Rates, timelines and disputes are between you and the helper. Nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee of quality or price.
Where we operate
Dindori district, Madhya Pradesh. The website can be read from anywhere in India, but every helper listed on it works in and around Dindori — we do not list helpers in other districts and do not claim coverage we do not have. If the service expands, the listings will say so.
Who runs it
Jan Sahayata was started by Take A Step, a local initiative in Dindori, and is run by Kunal Prashnani. Listings are reviewed by hand rather than approved automatically, which is why new submissions take a day or two.
